This tour begins as you arrive at Kathgodam and head towards the Johar valley while halting for night breaks at Binsar, Chakori, Munsiyari, Patal Bhuvneshwar and Mukteshwar. Also while on this beautiful drive you visit the famous temples at Jageshwar and Jageshwar. The terrain is all along lush green forest cover and quiet roads with backdrop of mighty Himalayas.
Binsar is a picturesque and sleepy hamlet amidst orchards, silver streams and green meadows. At the impressive altitude of 2,420 m, about 95 km from Nainital, this small town is encircled by vast wildlife sanctuary which is home to many rare animals, birds and wild flowers. Binsar also offers a majestic view of the snowy Himalayan peaks like the mesmerizing ranges Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Shivling and Panchchuli.
Chakori is a charming little town covered with forests of deodar, pine, rhododendron and fruit orchards. At a height of 2,010 m, and 173 km away from Nainital, this town is known for fabulous sunrise and sunset over the mighty Nanda Devi and Panchchuli peaks.
Munsiyari is located at an altitude of 2135 meters in the base of the Himalayan Mountains. The town is about 125 Kms from Pithoragarh and falls on the ancient salt route from Tibet. It’s at the entrance of the Johar Valley, which extends along the path of the Goriganga River to its source at the Milam Glacier. This town is also the getaway to many Himalayan treks like Namik Trek, Milam Trek and the Ralam Glacier Trek.
Patal Bhuvaneshwar is located in the village Bhubneshwar, situated near the confluence of Ramganga, Sarayu and Gupt-Ganga. Patal Bhuvneshwar is an underground limestone cave Temples, about 160 m long and 90 feet deep from the point of entrance and the limestone rock formations enshrine Lord Shiva & thirty three crore Gods.
Mukteshwar is a beautiful hill town at an altitude of 2286 about 60 km from Nainital. The town gets its name from a 350-year-old temple of Shiva, known as Mukteshwar Dham, situated atop the highest point in the town. Mukteshwar is rich in scenic beauty, with magnificent views of India's second-highest peak, Nanda Devi and other peaks of Nanda Kot, Nandaghunti, Trishul and Panchachuli.
